Description

The gluteal region is supplied by branches of the internal iliac artery, primarily by the superior gluteal and the inferior gluteal arteries. Although it does not contribute to the arterial supply of the gluteal region, the internal pudendal artery briefly travels through the gluteal region during its passage to the perineum.
