Description
The arteries of the nasal cavity include branches that arise from the anterior and posterior ethmoidal and the sphenopalatine arteries. They form an anastomotic plexus within the mucosa of the nasal cavity. Additionally, there are arterial contributions from the greater palatine artery and the septal branch of the superior labial artery. These five arteries form a plexus on the anterior part of the nasal septum called Kiesselbach or Little area and is a common site of nosebleed.
