Origin
The lateral mammary branches arise from the lateral thoracic artery, an artery that arises from the second part of the axillary artery.
Course
After the lateral thoracic artery arises from the second part of the axillary artery, it descends along the lateral border of pectoralis minor. In females, it gives off lateral mammary branches that curve around the lateral border of pectoralis major muscle. It enters the breast from the lateral side.
Branches

Supplied Structures
The lateral mammary branches of the lateral thoracic artery supply the lateral aspect of the breast.
