Origin
The deep external pudendal vein originates within the labia majora in females or the scrotum in males.
Course
The deep external pudendal veins take a lateral horizontal course from its origin, deep and parallel to the superficial external pudendal vein. As it traverses the thigh, it becomes more superficial and drains into the great saphenous vein or directly into the femoral vein.
Tributaries
The deep external pudendal vein receives the anterior labial veins in females or the anterior scrotal veins in males.
Structures Drained
The deep external pudendal vein drains the medial aspect of the thigh and the external genitalia.
