Origin

The posterior radicular veins are small veins that originate along the posterior roots of the spinal cord.

Course

The posterior radicular veins pass laterally in the subarachnoid space towards the intervertebral foramen where they drain into the intervertebral veins.

Tributaries

There are no named tributaries.

The posterior radicular veins primarily drain the posterior roots of the spinal cord, including the spinal (dorsal root) ganglia.
