Origin
The superficial external pudendal veins originate as small branches that surround the skin of the scrotum in males, or the labia majora in females.
Course
The superficial external pudendal veins travel medially from its origin, in front of the spermatic cord in males, or the round ligament of the uterus in females, to drain into the great saphenous vein at the saphenous opening.
Tributaries
The veins receive blood from the superficial dorsal veins of the penis in males or the superficial dorsal vein of clitoris in females.
Structures Drained
The veins drain the skin of the medial thigh, skin of the external genitalia, and the pubic symphysis.
