Description

The veins that drain the external nose do not run in parallel with the arteries. Instead, it is drained in territories, where the frontomedian region is drained to the facial vein, the root of the nose is drained to the ophthalmic veins.

The nasal cavity has a rich submucosal plexus in the posterior part of the nasal septum and in the middle and inferior conchae. It is drained by the sphenopalatine veins.
