Description
Venous blood from the ovaries is drained from the pampiniform plexus in the broad ligament. The vessels from the pampiniform plexus unite to form the left and right ovarian veins. The left vein ascends into the abdomen and drains into the renal vein. The right ovarian vein ascends into the abdomen and drains directly into the inferior vena cava.
