Description
Blood from the vagina is drained into the vaginal venous plexus. The vaginal venous plexus forms connections with the uterine venous plexus and drains into the uterine vein. In some anatomical variants, vaginal veins will drain directly into the internal iliac vein.
The distal portion of the vagina is drained by the internal pudendal vein.
