Structure

The cuneometatarsal interosseous ligaments are three short fibrous slips that connect the cuneiform bones to the metatarsals.

The first band of fibers, known as Lisfranc’s ligament, passes from the lateral surface of the medial cuneiform bone to the second metatarsal bone. A second inconsistent band connects the lateral cuneiform bone to the second metatarsal. A third band connects the lateral cuneiform bone to the fourth metatarsal.
