Structure
The inferior pubic ligament joins the lower portion of the pubic symphysis to the pubic bone and extends along the inferior pubic rami.

The inferior pubic ligament attaches to the interpubic disc superiorly, while its inferior aspect is in proximity to an opening of the perineal membrane where the deep dorsal vein of the penis or clitoris ascends from the perineum.
Function
As the inferior pubic ligament attaches to the medial borders of the inferior rami of the pubic bones, and its central portion forms the summit of the pubic arch.
