The posterior ligament of the fibular head passes obliquely from the posterior part of the head of the fibula to the posterior aspect of the lateral condyle of the tibia. The arcuate popliteal and the fibular collateral ligaments cover the posterior ligament of the fibular head.
Function
The posterior ligament of the fibular head connects the posterior portion of the head of the fibula with the posterior part of the lateral condyle of the tibia.
