The vincula tendinum are synovial folds that connect the flexor digitorum tendons to the adjacent bone.
The vincula tendinum are divided, according to their length, into vincula brevia and vincula longa. There are typically two vincula brevia and two vincula longa that attach to each tendon; however, the numbers are variable.
