The anterior sternoclavicular ligament is a broad fibrous band that attaches the anterosuperior aspects of the sternal end of the clavicle to the anterior aspect of the manubrium and the first costal cartilage.
Function
The anterior sternoclavicular ligament acts to stabilize the sternoclavicular joint.
