Anatomical Relations
In some cases, there is a coracobrachial bursa which sits deep to the coracobrachialis muscle, overlying the coracoid process of the scapula (Standring, 2016).

Structure
The coracobrachial bursa is a closed sac of synovial fluid which sits deep to the tendinous origin of the coracobrachialis muscle. This bursa often communicates with the subtendinous bursa of the subscapularis muscle (Paulsen and Waschke, 2013).
Function
The coracobrachial bursa permits friction-free movement between the tendon of the coracobrachialis muscle and the coracoid process of the scapula.
