The dorsal artery of the penis arises as one of two terminal branches from the internal pudendal artery.
Course
The dorsal artery of the penis pierces the anterior margin of the perineal membrane to reach the dorsal surface of the body of the penis. This artery courses along its dorsal surface, medial to the dorsal nerve.
Branches
There are no named branches, however, the dorsal artery of penis anastomoses with branches of the deep artery of the penis and the urethral artery.

The dorsal artery of the penis supplies the superficial tissues of the penis.
