Structure/Morphology
The vascular fold of the cecum is a peritoneal fold that covers the anterior cecal vessels.
Key Features/Anatomical Relations
The vascular fold of the cecum forms the anterior boundary of the superior ileocecal recess. This recess is well developed in children, but is often absent in adults (Standring, 2016).
