The ileocolic nodes are a chain of 10–20 nodes that accompany the ileocolic artery. They receive afferents from the terminal ilium, as well as the paracolic, prececal, retrocecal, and appendicular nodes. Their efferents lead to the central superior mesenteric nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
