Description: (Location & Drainage)
The inferior gluteal lymph nodes usually contain one or two nodes located adjacent to the inferior gluteal artery (Földi et al., 2012). They are responsible for draining lymph of the deep layers of the gluteal region and thigh. In addition, lower nodes of this group receive lymph from the pelvic viscera.
The inferior gluteal nodes drain into the common iliac lymph nodes.
