Description
The inferior superficial inguinal lymph nodes usually contain on average four nodes. They are located above the sartorius muscle, just lateral to the saphenous opening.
The inferior superficial inguinal lymph nodes drain lymph from the external genitalia, perineum, skin of the lower limb. Their efferent vessels pass to the external iliac nodes, with some intercalated vessels passing to the deep inguinal lymph nodes.
