Description:
Description: (Location & Drainage)
The paracolic inferior mesenteric nodes are situated adjacent to the arterial arcades on the surface of the distal part of the transverse colon, descending colon, and sigmoid colon. These nodes receive afferent vessels from the microscopic epicolic nodules within the serosa of the colon. Their efferents pass to the left colic and sigmoid nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
