Description:

Description: (Location & Drainage)

The retrocecal nodes accompany the posterior cecal artery, specifically on the posterior surface of the ileocecal transition and inferior towards the vermiform appendix. They receive afferent vessels from the cecum and appendix, and drain into the ileocolic or central superior mesenteric nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
