Quick Facts
Location: Accompanies the right gastroomental artery.
Drainage: Lower territory of stomach and greater omentum.
Direction of Flow: Hepatic nodes > celiac nodes > intestinal trunk > cisterna chyli > thoracic duct.
Description:
Description: (Location & Drainage)
The right gastroomental nodes are found adjacent to the right gastroomental artery. These nodes form a chain, ranging from 2 to 11 nodes, that extends from the middle of the greater curvature of the stomach down to the subpyloric nodes. Their afferent vessels drain the lower aspect of the stomach and greater omentum.
The efferent vessels of the right gastroomental nodes drain to the hepatic nodes directly, or via the superior pancreatic and splenic nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
