Direction of Flow: Supraclavicular nodes > jugular trunk > thoracic duct (left) or right lymphatic duct.
Description: (Location & Drainage)
The dorsal subtrapezoid nodes are found deep to the trapezius muscle, adjacent to the subtrapezoid plexus (terminal branch of the spinal accessory nerve) and the transverse cervical artery. There are usually 1–3 nodes in this rejoin.
The afferent vessels collect lymph from the descending part of the trapezius muscle. Their efferent vessels connect these nodes to the supraclavicular nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
