Structure/Morphology
The outer connective tissue of lymph vessels is composed of a dense connective tissue containing collagen and elastic fibers. It surrounds the internal smooth muscle and endothelial layers of the lymphatic vessels.
Function
The outer connective tissue of lymphatic vessels is important in suspending the vessels in the connective tissues of underlying organs and spaces of which the vessels drain.
