Direction of Flow: Ileocolic, right and middle colic nodes > central superior mesenteric nodes > Intestinal trunk or left lumbar trunk > cisterna chyli > thoracic duct.

The paracolic superior mesenteric nodes are found adjacent to the arterial arcades on the surface of the ascending colon, and proximal part of the transverse colon. These nodes receive afferent vessels from the microscopic epicolic nodules within the serosa of the colon. There efferents pass to the ileocolic, right colic, and middle colic nodes (Földi et al., 2012).
