Quick Facts

Location: Pectoral region, along lateral thoracic artery.

Drainage: Anterior thoracic wall (skin, mammary glands, and muscles) and anterior abdominal wall.

Direction of Flow: Anterior axillary nodes > central axillary nodes > subclavian trunk > right lymphatic duct (right) or thoracic duct (left).

Description

The pectoral lymph vessels are located between interpectoral and anterior axillary lymph nodes. The transport lymph from these nodes into the central axillary lymph nodes directly or via the infraclavicular nodes. They are located in close association with the pectoralis major and minor muscles.
