Posterior Pancreaticoduodenal Lymph Vessels Description:
Description: (Location & Drainage)
The posterior pancreaticoduodenal nodes receive afferent vessels from the posterior aspects of the head of the pancreas, the common bile duct, and duodenum.
The efferent vessels of the posterior pancreaticoduodenal nodes that accompany the posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery drain into the hepatic nodes, while those that accompany the posterior inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery drain into the central superior mesenteric nodes (Reynolds, 2016).
