Description

The superficial inguinal lymph vessels are located within the subcutaneous fat adjacent to the great saphenous vein. In general, the superficial inguinal lymph vessels drain the skin inferior to the umbilicus, the external genitalia, gluteal region, perineum, and lower limb. Their efferent vessels pass into the external iliac nodes, with some intercalated vessels passing to the deep inguinal lymph nodes.
