Insertion of Iliopsoas Muscle

Description

The two muscles that collectively form the iliopsoas muscle (i.e. the psoas major and iliacus muscles) have the following insertion sites:- the tendon of the psoas major muscle inserts onto the lesser trochanter of femur;- the iliacus muscle inserts indirectly onto the lesser trochanter of femur by attaching to the tendon of the psoas major.
