Description

The muscles of the forearm are a group of muscles of the upper limb that act on the bones of the forearm, wrist and hand. They are involved in the fine motor movements of the wrist and hand.

For classification purposes, the muscles of the forearm are divided into two distinct compartments according to position and function:

- muscles of the anterior compartment of forearm;

- muscles of the posterior compartment of forearm.
