Description
The muscles of the posterior compartment (extensor compartment) are one of the two subgroups of the arm muscles, the other being the muscles of the anterior compartment. These muscles mainly act to extend the forearm at the elbow joint. The muscles of the posterior compartment of the arm consist of the:
- triceps brachii;
- anconeus.
