Description

The scapulohumeral muscles are a group of muscles of the upper limb that act on the bones of the pectoral girdle (i.e., clavicle and scapula) and the humerus. They are involved in movements of the shoulder and arm and help to stabilize the glenohumeral (shoulder) joint.

The scapulohumeral muscles consist of the:

- rotator cuff muscles;

- deltoid;

- teres major.
