Quick Facts
The anterior lobe of cerebellum (aka cranial lobe of cerebellum, or rostral lobe of cerebellum) functions mainly in the fine tuning of body movements. It receives proprioception information from the dorsal columns of the spinal cord and from the trigeminal nerve, as well as input from the visual and auditory systems. It sends fibers to the deep cerebellar nuclei that project to both the cerebral cortex and the brain stem.
