Quick Facts
The anterior nuclei of thalamus (aka anterior thalamic nuclei, or thalamic anterior nuclear group) are a collection of nuclei located towards the rostral (front) end of the thalamus. These nuclei are involved in the integration and modulation of signals relating to memory and learning. They communicate with, and act as a relay station for fibers from the maxillary bodies, projecting fibers to the cingulate gyrus.
