Description

The interganglionic branches of the sympathetic trunk are the interlinking fibers that connect the paravertebral ganglia. The paravertebral ganglia and the interganglionic branches of the sympathetic trunk together form the continuous sympathetic trunks, that run on the left and right sides of the spinal cord.
