Structure

The anterior segmental bronchus (B3) is one of three segmental bronchi that arise from the right superior lobar bronchus. The others include the posterior and apical segmental bronchi. It passes anteroinferiorly and terminates by dividing into lateral and anterior branches. The anterior segmental bronchus provides an airway to the anterior bronchopulmonary segment (S3) of the superior lobe of the right lung.
