The lateral basal segmental bronchus (B9) is one of five segmental bronchi that arise from the inferior lobar bronchus. The others include the superior, posterior basal, anterior basal, and medial basal segmental bronchi. It descends laterally and provides an airway to the lateral basal bronchopulmonary segment (S9) of the inferior lobe of the right lung.
