Structure

The posterior basal segmental bronchus (B10) is one of four segmental bronchi that arise from the inferior lobar bronchus. The others include the superior, anteromedial basal, and lateral basal segmental bronchi. It descends posteriorly and provides an airway to the posterior basal bronchopulmonary segment (S10) of the inferior lobe of the left lung.
