Structure

The posterior basal segmental bronchus (B10) is one of five segmental bronchi that arise from the inferior lobar bronchus. The others include the superior, medial basal, anterior basal, and lateral basal segmental bronchi. It descends posteriorly and provides an airway to the posterior basal bronchopulmonary segment (S10) of the inferior lobe of the right lung.
