Description

The anterior border is the margin found along the anteromedial aspect of the body of ischium. It is one of the three borders of the body of ischium, the other two being the posterior and lateral borders, and it separates the femoral and pelvic surfaces of the body of ischium.

The anterior border of body of ischium contributes to the margin that forms the obturator foramen and provides an attachment site for the obturator membrane.
