Description

The anterior border (anterior crest) of fibula is the margin located along the anterolateral aspect of the bone. It is one of the three borders of the fibula, the other two being the posterior and interosseous borders, and it separates the medial and lateral surfaces of the fibula.

The anterior border extends inferiorly from the anterior aspect of the head of fibula to the anterior aspect of the lateral malleolus and it provides an attachment site for the anterior intermuscular septum of leg.
