Description

The anterior surface of ulna is the area on the frontal aspect of the body of ulna. It is one of the three surfaces of the body of ulna, the other two being the posterior and medial surfaces. It is an area that is bounded:

—posteromedially, by the anterior border of ulna;

—laterally, by both the interosseous border of ulna and the supinator crest.

The anterior surface of ulna contains the tuberosity of ulna and the nutrient foramen of ulna. It also provides origin sites for the flexor digitorum profundus and pronator quadratus muscles, as well as an insertion site for the brachialis muscle.
