Description

The articular circumference of head of radius is the smooth, round perimeter of the head of the radius.

Its medial aspect articulates with the radial notch of ulna, forming the proximal radioulnar joint, contributing to the formation of the elbow joint. The rest of the articular circumference is surrounded by the annular ligament of the radius.
