Description

The articular facet of lateral condyle of tibia is the smooth, circular area found on the superior aspect of the lateral condyle of tibia. It is the smaller of the two articular facets found on the superior surface of the proximal part of tibia, the other being the articular facet of medial condyle of tibia.

It articulates with the lateral condyle of femur, via the lateral meniscus, forming the lateral femorotibial joint. Overall, the lateral femorotibial, medial femorotibial and patellofemoral joints collectively form the knee joint.
