Description

The articular facet of medial condyle is the smooth, oval, slightly concave area found on the superior aspect of the medial condyle of tibia. It is the larger of the two articular facets found on the superior surface of the proximal part of tibia, the other being the articular facet of lateral condyle of tibia.

It articulates with the medial condyle of femur, via the medial meniscus, forming the medial femorotibial joint. Overall, the medial femorotibial, lateral femorotibial and patellofemoral joints collectively form the knee joint.
