Description
The base of capitate bone is the quadrilateral, distal end of the bone. It contains three articular facets:
—the laterally located second metacarpal articular facet of capitate bone;
—the centrally located third metacarpal articular facet of capitate bone;
—the medially located fourth metacarpal articular facet of capitate bone.
