Description

The body (shaft) of clavicle is the long, curved part of the bone. It is continuous medially with the sternal end of the clavicle and continuous laterally with the acromial end of the clavicle. Its lateral one third is concave anteriorly, while its medial two thirds is convex anteriorly.

The body of clavicle consists of:

—two surfaces; superior and inferior;

—two borders; anterior and posterior.
