Description

The body (shaft) of radius is the long, tubular part of the bone. It is located between the proximal and distal parts of the radius.

Proximally, the body of radius is narrow, and it gradually expands towards the distal part of the bone. It is triangular in cross-section, and consists of:

—three surfaces (anterior, posterior and lateral);

—three borders (anterior, posterior and interosseous).
