Description

The body of scapula is the inferomedially located, thin, triangular part of the bone. It is continuous superolaterally with both the neck and acromion, and consists of:

—two surfaces; costal and dorsal;

—three borders; superior, medial and lateral.

The body of scapula provides attachment sites for muscles of the upper limb and back.
